PixelTrust is? First and foremost, live.

Beyond that? PixelTrust is an idea that business owners, managers, organizations, heck anyone who has some vested interest in making technology work for them, needs someone they can trust. That’s one of the reasons we put Trust right in the name.

Technology is important. It is ingrained in everything we do. You may be reading this right now thinking, “obviously, that’s why I hired random company x to handle that for me.” Great! I’m glad you hired random company x to help you manage your technology. Do you trust them and how far does that trust extend?

PixelTrust is not a traditional Managed Service Provider (MSP.) MSPs are businesses and all businesses have their own best interest in mind. Some MSPs are going to have your best interest in mind to a point, its just a good business practice to work that way. Unfortunately, with time there are going to be opportunities when your partners best interests and your best interests are not aligned.

When is it okay for adequate to be enough? Circumstances change. Your trusted partner may have had changes in staff, changes in finances, changes in anything really. When times get tough, your partners are going to slide into what is in their best interest. The bigger question is, would you even know it if it happened?

The thing that makes PixelTrust different is, we aren’t interested in building a kingdom. We are a couple of guys with an idea, the idea being, we have subject matter expertise, we know how to talk to people, and we want to help people maximize their technology. We believe there are pitfalls out there that can be avoided but people simply lack the knowledge to even know they are walking into a problem.

So, imagine you have a friend from way back that has worked in IT for a long time. You know that friend can answer questions, look at things, and save you some pain, but you don’t want to ask that of them. Hey, look over here. It’s us, your friends. We just ask that you pay us a little bit.

So back to the original question. PixelTrust is? We could say consultants but that also seems a little boring. I’m tempted to get cute and say we are your Technology Best Friends but that is too cute for even me. Let’s wrap this up by by defining PixelTrust as Technology Business Partners.

We want to come in be it on retainer or ad-hoc and help you stay straight. You have an MSP that you aren’t sure is doing things the best way and you want a second opinion? You are hiring one IT person to support your business but don’t have the technical knowledge to know if they are a fraud? This is where we can help.

Oh, and one more thing. Yeah, we’ll build, manage, and host a website for you. That’s stepping a little outside the vein of what I’m saying in this blog post but not entirely. We aren’t trying to build a website empire. It’s just something that we think we can do in a way that is better for whoever that website represents.
